According to a Survey, at present, there are more than 8,000 active satellites revolving around the Earth
More than half of those satellites, about 4,500, are controlled by Elon Musk and his company
Elon Musk said in February 2021 that the satellites he sent were traveling on 25 orbital planes clustered between 53 degrees north and south of the equator
the satellites form a mesh network while in orbit, which helps enable uninterrupted internet connectivity over vast distances
